Namaskara, Bengaluru!
The City 24/7 is officially live, and you're reading our very first newsletter. Thank you for being here this early. Genuinely.
Here's the thing, though. Going live was the easy part. The real journey starts now: bringing every bit of this city into your inbox. The food, the people, the shortcuts, the chaos, the quiet corners and the places you keep meaning to try. Every Friday morning, without fail.
So grab your coffee (filter, obviously) and let's get into it.
On 1 November, Karnataka turned 70: the state was formed on 1 November 1956, and the red and yellow flags were out across Bengaluru all weekend. It was also the day The City 24/7 went live, which we're choosing to take as a very good sign. Siri Gannada Gelge!
The festival of lights is here this weekend: Naraka Chaturdashi on Sunday, 8 November, Lakshmi Puja on Monday, 9 November, and Balipadyami on Tuesday, 10 November. Light the lamps, eat one sweet too many, and remember the rule: green crackers only, and only between 8pm and 10pm. Your neighbour's dog will thank you.
