NICE Grounds: Where Bengaluru's Biggest Concerts Now Happen

Guns N' Roses, Fred again.., Yuvan Shankar Raja: the city's biggest gigs keep landing at NICE Grounds near BIEC. Here's how to get there and, more importantly, how to get back.

QUICK ANSWER

  • NICE Grounds is an open concert ground near the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC) on Tumkur Road.
  • The nearest metro is Madavara, the last stop on the Green Line.
  • Guns N' Roses (14 November), Fred again.. (12 and 13 December) and Yuvan Shankar Raja are among the big shows booked there.
  • Plan your ride home before the encore: the metro is your best friend and the traffic is not.

“The music is two hours. The journey is a whole personality.”

• Tariq Sallam, The City 24/7

If a big international act is playing Bengaluru, there's a good chance you'll end up at NICE Grounds. Out on Tumkur Road, next to the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre, it has quietly become the city's stadium-sized concert ground.

It's big, it's open-air and it's far. Not "a bit of a drive" far. More "pack snacks and say goodbye to your loved ones" far, if you're coming from Whitefield or HSR.

So here's everything I'd want to know before going: where it is, how to reach it and how to get back without losing your mind.

Quick Information

The ground is huge, the walk is long and the cab surge is real. Read this before you buy that ticket.

How Do I Get to NICE Grounds by Metro?

Take the Namma Metro Green Line to Madavara, the last stop on the line. It's the closest station to BIEC and the concert grounds, and on a gig night it's easily the smartest way in.

  • Check the last train. Metro timings are sometimes extended for big concerts, but never assume. Check Namma Metro's announcements for your date.
  • Buy your return ticket early. A QR ticket bought before the show saves you from a queue full of people who also forgot.
  • Walk out with the crowd, not against it. Exits can take a while. Patience is cheaper than a fight with a barricade.

Should I Drive or Take a Cab?

Only if you enjoy long, slow conversations with your steering wheel. Tumkur Road traffic after a sold-out gig is the stuff of Bengaluru legend, and cab prices tend to surge exactly when you need one.

MY TIP

If you must take a cab, walk a little away from the venue before booking. You'll find a car faster and pay less than the crowd standing right at the gate.

Which Big Concerts Are Happening at NICE Grounds?

Here are the ones we've covered so far, with full guides for each:

  • Guns N' Roses, 14 November 2026. Axl, Slash and Duff are back. Our survival plan covers tickets, metro and gates.
  • Fred again.., 12 and 13 December 2026. His India debut, across two nights.
  • Yuvan Shankar Raja. Two decades of Tamil hits in one night.

What Should I Carry to a Gig at NICE Grounds?

The usual festival kit: a charged phone, a power bank if allowed, your ticket downloaded offline, comfortable shoes and a light layer for the evening. Every event has its own rules on bags and bottles, so read the ticket page before you leave home.
